Igor Papi\u010d handed over the rector’s chain to his successor prof. dr. Gregor Majdi\u010d, and with it all the honors and duties that come with his new position. Prof. dr. Gregor Majdi\u010d thus became the 45th<\/sup> rector of the University of Ljubljana.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the new rector called on everyone to raise generations that will have confidence in science, and emphasized that the University will have to play an important role in providing information and raising public awareness.<\/p>\n

The inauguration was broadcast live by the LMMFE team in cooperation with the students of the Multimedia program. Multimedia support was provided by an 8-member team under the mentorship of assistant Klemen Pe\u010dnik, who took care of the live broadcast on the YouTube platform in high resolution. The team took care of the graphic image of the event, technical support and preparation of the multi-camera system, and adjustment of the audio system for live transmission. Due to the importance of the event, all elements of the system were duplicated to ensure high reliability. The event was held in cooperation with the UL University Informatics Service and the UL Public Relations Service.<\/p>\n
